Job summary

Lincoln County Sheriff's Office seeks a Corrections Deputy to help maintain safety and security within the Lincoln County Jail and related facilities in Oregon. Responsibilities include inmate intake, classification, verification of records, and operating secure facility systems.

The role requires DPSST-compliant training, CPR/First Aid, and the ability to manage high-stress environments while ensuring lawful procedures and inmate welfare.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years college-level education in law enforcement or related field preferred.
• Must meet DPSST requirements and CPR/first aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct custody assessments for acceptance into the facility, including medical status and intoxication level.
• Perform inmate searches for drugs, weapons, and contraband.
• Classify and house inmates based on risk, behavior, and medical needs; adjust housing as needed.
• Process intake with arresting officers, collect forms, and document charges.
• Operate doors, alarms, and data entry systems; monitor inmate movement and welfare.
