Job summary

University of Hawaii FCU is seeking a Compliance Officer to design, implement, and monitor the credit union's compliance program with respect to federal and state laws and regulations. The role educates staff and leadership on compliance responsibilities and evaluates risk exposure.

The ideal candidate will develop training, interpret regulatory changes, and ensure disclosures and procedures meet NCUA guidelines while supporting enterprise risk management initiatives.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent work experience.
• Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of financial institution regulations.
• Experience in writing policies, manuals and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs reviews to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develops and implements ongoing compliance training programs.
• Assists with Bank Secrecy Act and Red Flags Program.
• Interprets and disseminates information on regulatory matters.
• Ensures forms and disclosures are compliant with NCUA rules and regulations.
• Creates and manages a compliance program and monitors changes in regulations.
• Assists with vendor due diligence and Enterprise Risk Management.
