Job summary

Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana seeks a dedicated career guidance specialist to support participants through training, employment placement, and barrier removal. The role collaborates with SNAP E&T and other mission programs to provide wraparound services and ensure data accuracy across reporting systems.

The position emphasizes autonomy, ongoing coaching, and relationship-building with community partners, delivering services with minimal supervision while supporting long-term client

Qualifications

• No formal degree or credential required; capability and willingness to learn are valued.
• Strong communication and client engagement skills are essential.
• Background in workforce development or related services is beneficial.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and partners.

Responsibilities

• Implements and adheres to GoodwillNext program components, including job readiness, training, work experience, and employment.
• Assesses participants and connects them to appropriate services and resources.
• Coaches participants to set and achieve long-term educational and employment goals.
• Delivers job readiness preparation in individual or small group settings and stays informed on labor market trends.
• Develops and maintains relationships with community partners to expand support services.
• Coordinates services with mission program teams to ensure comprehensive support for participants.
• Maintains participant records, generates reports, and ensures accurate documentation.
• Contributes to program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts.
