Job summary

North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) seeks a Consumer Services Coordinator to provide information, advocacy, and service arrangement for consumers and families in the San Fernando Valley area. Responsibilities include developing and monitoring plans, coordinating services, and serving as an advocate with community agencies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a human services field and typically two years of related experience; a Master’s degree may substitute.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of related experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for experience.
• Understanding of family systems and person-centered planning, empowering individuals to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development and evaluation of program plans for individuals.
• Identify and coordinate services for individuals and their families.
• Document and report in accordance with regulations and NLACRC policies.
• Advocate for individuals served by community agencies.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings with individuals, families, providers, advocates.
• Identify barriers to service delivery and implement culturally sensitive strategies.
• Rotate officer-of-the-day duties; provide case coverage and emergency on-call as required.
