Build Up Justice NYC is seeking a Communications & Policy Manager to lead our communications, media relations, and policy advocacy efforts in New York City. You will translate client stories and program outcomes into compelling materials and strategy, reporting to the Director of Development & Communications.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in communications, media relations, public policy, or advocacy.
• Experience developing strategies and securing media coverage.
• Experience researching public policy affecting low-income communities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BUJNYC’s communications strategy and priorities.
• Serve as primary media contact and secure coverage.
• Draft press releases, statements, op-eds, website and social content.
• Collaborate with program staff to leverage client stories and data.
• Track website and social metrics to inform strategies.
