Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana invites applications for Adjunct Faculty positions to teach on an as-needed basis each semester. Responsibilities include delivering classes, using technology, developing outlines, and assessing student progress in line with FERPA.

Qualified candidates hold a master’s degree or higher in education or a related field, or possess a current state teaching license or three years of teaching experience. Official transcripts are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a master’s degree or higher in education or a related field, or a state teaching license/certification or 3 years of teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
• Makes optimal use of technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials; maintains accurate student records and grades.
• Engages with students to create a positive experience and implement interactive teaching strategies.
• Monitor and document student performance and provide interventions including tutoring and referrals as needed.
• Interact with students and coworkers professionally while complying with College policies.

Education

Master's degree or higher in education or related field

Current or expired state teaching license/certification or 3 years of teaching experience
