Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana invites qualified individuals to join as Adjunct Faculty on an as-needed basis for each semester. Adjuncts create learning environments, deliver instruction, and assess student progress within the framework of common syllabi.

The role involves preparing course syllabi, maintaining attendance and grades, meeting all scheduled classes, using Ivy Learn and PowerPoint, and supporting diverse student needs.

Qualifications

• Earned degree as specified or higher in technology/engineering or related field.
• Two years of directly related work experience listed in COR or other credentialed path.
• Five years of directly related work experience listed in COR path.
• Three years of directly related work experience listed in COR path.
• Possess journeyman’s card or equivalent credential where applicable.
• Possess Workplace Specialist License or related CTE credential when required.

Responsibilities

• Teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
• Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) and follow content requirements.
• Maintain attendance and grading records per policy.
• Submit information within established timelines.
• Be available to students outside scheduled class time to help.
• Meet all scheduled classes and use Ivy Learn/PowerPoint as appropriate; notify chair in emergencies.
• Promote diversity and inclusion as an integral part of work.
