Job summary

TNTP The New Teacher Project in Baltimore seeks an Effectiveness Coach to support and develop Residents and paraeducators through data-driven coaching, curriculum design, and professional development aligned to Maryland standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with BCPS and the BCTR team, with travel up to 40% and on-site work in Baltimore; a strong track record in coaching teachers and improving instructional practice is essential.

Qualifications

• At least three years of teaching experience.
• Experience developing and coaching teachers.
• Proven ability to build trusting relationships with other adults.
• Experience with deeper learning, school design, and standards-aligned project-based learning (preferred).
• Experience designing and facilitating professional development for teachers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a data-driven coaching strategy for Residents and paraeducators.
• Collaborate with partners, principals, City Schools staff, and BCTR teams to support development.
• Identify innovative solutions to improve teacher performance and instructional practice.
• Design PST content for both traditional and apprenticeship pathways.
• Create MD College and Career-Ready Standards-aligned sessions for PD and certification.
