Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a certified nursing assistant to support nursing staff and provide quality patient care. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, perform data collection, and assist with activities of daily living and discharge planning.

Responsibilities include receiving hand-off reports, documenting changes, and maintaining safety and infection control measures throughout the shift. A PA CNA certification is required, with BCLS and CPR credentials also mandatory.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
• CPR certification from American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (Required)
• Must be certified by the state of Pennsylvania as a certified nursing assistant or student nursing assistant-in lieu of certification, matriculated in an accredited ASN nursing program with GPA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Report/receives shift report from RN at start of shift and communicates care plan to the RN.
• Assist with data collection for nursing history and vital signs; report changes promptly.
• Assist with patient care activities including ADLs, mobility, and discharge planning support.
• Follow infection control practices and safety protocols; monitor and report changes in patient condition.
