Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
• Certified Nurse Aid (Required)
• CNA Certification by the State of Pennsylvania
• H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
• Graduate of a certified nursing assistant program or nursing student in BSN program required

Responsibilities

• Receives and relays shift reports from the RN at start of shift.
• Assists with patient assessment, data collection (vital signs, measurements) and communicates changes to the RN.
• Assists in planning and reporting patient care needs and goals.
• Maintains infection control practices and ensures patient safety.
• Performs activities of daily living and supports patient comfort and dignity.
• Documents findings, interventions and patient outcomes in patient records.
• Participates in rounds and multidisciplinary meetings as required.

Education

H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

CNA Certification by the State of Pennsylvania

Certified Nurse Aide (Required)

Graduate of a certified nursing assistant program - in lieu of certification, must be a nursing student matriculated in an accredited BSN program
