Job summary

Springfield Public Schools is seeking Classroom Para Educators to support teachers in delivering high-quality education across our district. You will provide instructional assistance, prepare materials, manage classroom behavior, and supervise field trips to support student success.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• 60 college hours or an Associate’s degree, or passing scores on ParaPro or WorkKeys exams.
• Passing score on WorkKeys in Reading, Math, and Writing is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
• Provides assistance with classroom activities.
• Prepares instructional materials.
• Manages individual and classroom behavior.
• Supervises students on field trip activities.
• Performs other support services and related duties as requested by Building Principal.
