Job summary

Springfield Public Schools is seeking Classroom Para Educators to support teachers in delivering a high‑quality education program that meets the needs of all students. You will assist with instruction, prepare instructional materials, manage behavior, supervise field trips, and provide classroom support as requested by campus leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 60 college credits or an Associate degree or equivalent.
• Passing scores on ParaPro or WorkKeys assessments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Proven track record of high achievement.
• Willingness to engage in professional development.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
• Assists with classroom activities and routines.
• Prepares instructional materials for lessons.
• Manages individual and classroom behavior.
• Supervises students on field trips and outings.
• Performs other support duties as assigned by the Building Principal.
