Job summary

SGMC Health seeks a Pharmacy Technician to provide technical support within the Pharmacy Department on the Main Campus. The role requires licensing, strong knowledge of drug distribution, and the ability to work within inpatient and outpatient systems such as Epic, Omnicell and QS1.

Responsibilities include completing a six-week training, assisting in staff training, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives while maintaining accuracy in medication preparation and distribution

Qualifications

• Must complete all licensure/registration requirements with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy and be active as a pharmacy technician.
• Pharmacy Technician Registration with Georgia Board of Pharmacy required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification on file with Georgia Board of Pharmacy required.

Responsibilities

• Complete six-week training and demonstrate efficiency in typing, preparation of aseptic solutions, medication prep and batches.
• Understand inpatient and outpatient drug distribution systems (Epic, Omnicell, QS1).
• Assist in training, orientation and assessment of new employees, interns, externs and students.
