Qualifications

• Minimum of 60 college credits required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates cultural competency and professional appearance.
• DESE license certified may yield a higher daily rate.

Responsibilities

• Provides students with a positive learning environment to support intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
• Delivers instruction and implements lessons aligned with District goals.
• Supervises students in school settings.
• Maintains routines and procedures of the classroom.
• Supports students in whole class, small group, and individual settings.
• Adapts instruction to meet diverse needs.
• Communicates with students, staff, and families.
• Follows District and school policies and procedures.
• Becomes oriented to school policies with Administrator.
• Ensures student safety and welfare.
• Reports student-related injuries or incidents promptly.
• Documents daily activities at end of day.
• Participates in District-provided professional development.
• Maintains confidentiality of student and staff information.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the administrator.
