Qualifications

• Minimum of 60 college credits required, Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred.
• Experience working with children.
• Strong knowledge of technology including MS Office, Video Conferencing, Teams, Google, Shared platforms, and education specific software.
• Promotes an environment of cultural competency through building relationships with stakeholders.
• Massachusetts Teaching Certificate preferred.
• Those pursuing a career in education preferred.
• Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
• Maintains appropriate dress and a professional appearance.
• DESE license certified candidates receive an additional daily rate differential.

Responsibilities

• Provides students with a positive learning environment to support their intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
• Delivers instruction and implements lesson plans in line with District's goals to ensure success for all students.
• Supervise students in school related settings.
• Maintains the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which assigned.
• Supports students in whole class, small group and individual settings using various teaching methods.
• Adapts instruction delivery to best meet the needs of all students.
• Communicates with students, staff, and families.
• Follows and supports all District and school policies, rules, and procedures.
• Meets with appropriate Administrator and becomes oriented to school policies and procedures.
• Supervises students to ensure safety and welfare.
• Reports any student related injury, accident, illness, discipline problem to Administration.
• Reports in writing on the day's activities at the conclusion of each teaching day.
• Participates in all District provided Professional Development.
• Maintains the confidentiality of the position including all student and school personnel information.
• Other related duties as assigned by the building administrator.
