Job summary

Liliʻuokalani Trust is seeking a BI Solutions Engineer to turn complex data into accessible insights and dashboards that drive strategic decisions. You will design data models, optimize SQL, and orchestrate data pipelines while collaborating with IT, leadership, and program teams.

You will advance analytics products, support automation, and ensure responsible AI-enabled workflows with human validation where appropriate, aligning with LT's mission to improve Native Hawaiian youth wellbeing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in BI, data analytics, or data engineering.
• Experience in nonprofit, education, or mission-driven settings.
• Strong SQL and data warehouse querying; Snowflake preferred.
• Experience with BI visualization tools such as Tableau.
• Knowledge of data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports communicating KPIs and trends.
• Write and optimize SQL queries against the data warehouse to answer ad hoc questions and support recurring reporting.
• Manage the lifecycle of analytics products from intake to retirement, including requirements, development, testing, and adoption support.
• Build and maintain data models and transformation pipelines turning raw data into analysis-ready datasets.
• Combine data from multiple systems (CRM, warehouses, spreadsheets) into reliable reporting sources.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues and support automation to improve reporting consistency.
