Job summary

The Clinical Therapist II at Hackensack Meridian Health provides psychosocial assessments, develops treatment plans and delivers evidence-based behavioral health interventions to patients and families as part of the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include a Master’s degree (MSW or Counseling), NJ licensure (LCSW/LC/LMT), and at least two years post-licensure experience. The role may require weekend/holiday coverage and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling.
• Minimum of two years post-licensure work experience in the field.
• Ability to perform psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention theory and treatment approaches.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; proficient with Microsoft Office/Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develops treatment plans.
• Delivers individual and/or group behavioral health interventions and educates patients and families.
• Completes all documentation in a timely fashion per department/hospital policy.
• Performs case management activities and assists with discharge planning.
• Supervises students and supports staff development within the team.
