Spring Dell Center, Inc. is seeking an Assistive Technology Specialist in La Plata, MD. The role coordinates assessments, materials, and adaptive devices, working with program directors, coordinators, and contractors for the AT program’s long-term success.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of assistive tech, ADA compliance, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication abilities. The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs, a valid driver's license, and at least 2 years working with

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Maryland accessibility laws and ADA compliance.
• Experience with assistive technologies incl. screen readers and magnifiers.
• Strong communication with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• ATP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track assessments and equipment needs.
• Coordinate equipment fittings and nursing staff appointments.
• Coordinate purchases through internal or external assessments.
• Maintain technology inventories and updates.
• Evaluate new assistive tech to improve quality of life.
• Collaborate with program management to integrate solutions.
• Maintain confidentiality with client information.
• Understand Spring Dell Center operations to ensure workflow.
