Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Three to five years experience collegiate coaching or high level prep or AAU basketball.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff and students.
• Demonstrated competitive coaching skills in area of sporting specialty.
• Knowledge of applicable team or individual sport and its playing rule.
• Must possess the ability to foster a cooperative environment.
• Must be able to organize and coordinate.
• Must have knowledge of NCAA rules.
• Must have the ability to understand, follow and enforce safety procedures.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Organize, prepare and conduct practices, training, and competition preparation.
• Identify and recruit prospective student-athletes for the men’s basketball program under NCAA rules.
• Assist with player development and skill advancement under the Head Coach.
• Coordinate training sessions, ensuring safety guidelines are followed.
• Assist with game scouting and game plan preparation.
• Support academic monitoring and degree progress for student-athletes.
• Assist with scheduling and travel arrangements.
• Represent the program to university programs, government agencies, and the public.
• Maintain current health care certifications (First Aid, CPR/AED).
