Job summary

Aerotek is hiring an Electrical/Mechanical Assembly Technician for the 1st shift in Peoria, IL. The role involves assembling custom products, following engineering blueprints, and working with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and plumbing components.

You will use hand and power tools and perform basic electrical routing and wiring. Qualified candidates have experience in technical assembly or maintenance, can read schematics, and hold an associates degree or related certification.

Qualifications

Experience in technical assembly or maintenance.
Mechanic experience preferred.
Ability to read and use blueprints/schematics.
Experience with hand and power tools.
Associates degree or certification in industrial electrical technology or related field preferred.
High School Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

Assemble custom products and systems.
Follow blueprints and schematics provided by engineering team.
Perform work on components related to pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and plumbing.
Perform basic electrical system routing and wiring.
Perform surface finishing as needed using pneumatic polishing tools.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and machine tools daily to assemble projects.
Utilize procedure manuals.
Follow all safety rules and regulations.
Utilize precision gaging tools to check accuracy of assembly.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
