Aerotek is seeking an Assembler for a 2nd shift, contract-to-hire role in Batavia, IL. You will assemble components using hand tools and simple machine tools, inspect and test assemblies, and ensure quality per prints and specifications.

The position emphasizes safety, documentation, and teamwork in a collaborative manufacturing environment. It is onsite with pay at $19.50/hour and opportunities for growth depending on performance.

Competenze

• Experience in production, assembly, or general manufacturing environments.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with tools and mechanical components.
• Ability to use hand tools and simple machine tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all organizational levels.
• Ability to operate in a participative, total quality management work environment using empowered work teams.
• Knowledge of measuring tools such as scales and calipers.
• Ability to read and understand prints, drawings, charts, graphs, and shop paperwork.
• Ability to understand and follow quality specifications and standards.
• Strong planning and prioritization skills with high attention to detail.
• Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals.
• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Computer literacy for documentation and inventory systems.

Mansioni

• Follow assembly processes to produce high-quality parts per procedures and specs.
• Perform electrical testing to verify product performance and safety.
• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure quality across production.
• Work safely, following all safety guidelines and using appropriate tools.
• Manage inventory: receiving, counting, and pulling parts for production.
• Ensure accuracy of inventory transactions and documentation.
• Contribute to continuous operational improvement in production, service, quality, safety, and leadership.
• Communicate clearly with team members and other departments.
• Support other departments to meet production and business needs.
• Assemble components using hand tools and simple machine tools per prints and shop paperwork.
• Plan and prioritize daily tasks to meet production schedules with attention to detail.
