Job summary

Community Roots Housing is seeking an experienced property manager to oversee two buildings within our Seattle portfolio, including 16 and 30 unit properties serving HUD and affordable housing programs.

You will handle leasing, income certifications, rent collection, tenant relations, maintenance coordination, and compliance with local laws. A strong customer-service mindset and ability to manage budgets are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year affordable property management experience.
• Ability to speak, read and write in standard business English.
• Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Ability to problem solve independently and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of and experience working with a diverse population.
• Ability to walk stairs, climb ladders, and operate cleaning tools.

Responsibilities

• Financial Management and Accounting: collect payments, process delinquencies, prepare budgets.
• Tenant Relations and Management: comply with laws, maintain tenant files, provide professional service.
• Property Maintenance and Repair: manage unit turns, ensure cleanliness, coordinate maintenance.
• Leasing: conduct tours, process applications, sign leases.
• Other: ensure site security and coordinate with staff and management.
