Job summary

Community Roots Housing is seeking two Assistant Property Managers to support the Property Managers at our 100+ unit buildings, including Pride Place & Station House and Liberty Bank Building & Africatown Plaza. Responsibilities include leasing, income certifications, maintenance, rent collection, tenant relations, and enforcing rules.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong English communication, and experience with Microsoft Office and property management software (One Site

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate in standard business English.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to solve problems independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience working with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Property Manager or Senior Property Manager with daily operations.
• Maintain RealPage and related resident management systems.
• Communicate with prospective residents via email, phone, and in person.
• Conduct apartment tours and guide applicants through leasing and move-in.
• Respond promptly to resident questions and concerns.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and guests.
• Assist with tax credit compliance and required certifications.
• Document concerns to the Property Manager promptly.
• Assist in preparing weekly reports and posting notices.
