Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Affordable Housing Property Manager to oversee a 66-unit LIHTC apartment community. You will manage day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, HOME and related requirements, and deliver excellent resident service in a safe, well-maintained environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in affordable housing property management is required.
• Knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, HOME and related programs.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and audits.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the property, including leasing, resident relations, maintenance coordination, collections, and administrative functions.
• Maintain compliance with LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, HOME, and other affordable housing requirements.
• Oversee applicant eligibility, certifications, annual and interim recertifications, income verification, and required compliance documentation.
• Maintain accurate resident files and ensure documentation is audit-ready.
• Market available units, process applications, conduct move-ins/outs, and maintain occupancy.
• Collect rent, monitor delinquency, and follow procedures for notices and collections.
• Prepare and monitor property budgets, invoices, financial reports, and operating expenses.
• Coordinate inspections and vendor services; ensure timely completion of work orders and capital needs.
• Maintain Fair Housing compliance and respond professionally to resident questions and lease issues.
