ASCEND HIRE INC. is seeking a Leasing Coordinator to manage applicant communications and document collection for housing units.

You will work closely with the Leasing Supervisor and staff on lease-up activities, ensuring accurate records and timely responses. The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with experience in LIHTC/HOME, rent-stabilized, and public housing programs.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
• Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the first point of contact for all housing applicants.
• Contact applicants on the waiting list in a courteous and professional manner.
• Must have experience with affordable housing programs, including LIHTC/HOME, market-rate and rent-stabilized housing, public housing, local housing agency programs, housing voucher programs, and homeless set-aside programs.
• Track and document all applicant responses on the waiting list.
• Generate and track denial and outcome letters.
• Demonstrate professionalism through a positive, cooperative attitude while maintaining the confidentiality of applicants and related information.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve and streamline the waiting list process.
• Perform other duties and assignments as requested.
