Job summary

2026-27 Teacher Elementary Long Term Substitute-5th Grade at Zach Elementary School in Fort Collins, Colorado is a temporary assignment covering a leave of absence. The role requires a Colorado teaching license, or Substitute Authorization, and offers a long-term substitute rate of $185.00 per day for 188 work days across one semester, with PERA retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with proper teaching licensure program required.
• Experience instructing students in a classroom setting preferred.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• Valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, materials, and lesson plans.
• Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one settings.
• Communicate students’ progress with parents/guardians and staff.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance instruction and outcomes.
• Attend meetings and participate in district activities.
