Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Uphold school rules and board policies.
• Participate in school and system operations through meetings and committees.
• Avoid any other employment that interferes with duties.
• Adhere to Code of Ethics for teachers.
• Follow approved courses of study and curriculum guidelines.
• Demonstrate citizenship, self-discipline, morality, and patriotism in student activities.
• Meet and instruct assigned classes at scheduled times.
• Maintain a conducive classroom environment within resource limits.
• Establish and maintain appropriate classroom discipline.
• Prepare for classes and show evidence of preparation upon request.
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and policy.
• Evaluate student progress per established procedures.
• Seek specialist assistance when needed and refer appropriately.
• Protect students and school facilities from hazards.
• Be available to students/parents outside instructional day as mutually agreed.
• Collaborate with staff on planning activities and goals.
• Assist in selecting instructional materials.
• Participate in extracurricular activities as agreed.
• Attend faculty meetings regularly.
• Maintain professional relationships with parents and community.
• Promote good public relations for school and district.
• Maintain and improve professional competence.
