University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Central City, NE invites an Extension Instructor or Open Rank Extension Educator for 4-H Youth Development. This twelve-month, non-tenure track position offers regional leadership, program development, and collaboration with specialists to improve youth outcomes.

Salary is competitive with benefits, including tuition remission for full-time employees, and advancement to higher rank after degree completion. Travel within the region is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in youth development, education, or a closely related field (extension educator).
• Bachelor’s degree in youth development, education, or a closely related field (extension instructor).
• Successful experience teaching in formal or non-formal settings.
• Ability to communicate effectively through publications, presentations, web, and social media.
• Experience working with youth and youth organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver 4-H Youth Development programs across Merrick and Hamilton Counties.
• Develop and assess educational programs with broad reach and impact.
• Collaborate with Extension specialists and teams to translate research into programs.
• Engage local leaders and stakeholders to advance Extension presence and funding.
• Complete PEARS data entry and annual impact reporting.
