Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a highly motivated Test Lab Technician to join the Vehicle Impact Team at the Chrysler Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan. This role focuses on preparing vehicles for crash testing, wiring and diagnosing electrical systems, and supporting cross-functional engineers in development programs.

You will collaborate with program engineers across platforms, perform post-impact inspections, and help with root-cause analysis while maintaining compliance with safety

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in electronics or vehicle electronics.
  • Minimum two years of auto electrical diagnosis experience.
  • Strong overall vehicle knowledge and electrical skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Great attitude and punctuality.
  • Initiative and strong work ethic required.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Able to work with multiple levels of management.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and modify vehicles for crash and impact testing activities.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and validate electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Perform vehicle build-up and build-down electrical activities for development testing programs.
  • Support post-impact vehicle inspections and failure analysis investigations.
  • Assist engineers with root cause analysis of component and system failures.
  • Support component testing activities within the EMD Lab.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of test preparations.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, laboratory, and technical personnel to achieve program objectives.
  • Follow all laboratory safety requirements and operating procedures.
