Job summary

Stellantis’ Chrysler Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan seeks a Test Lab Technician to join the Vehicle Impact Team. You will work hands-on across electrical and mechanical systems to prepare vehicles for crash testing and support development programs.

Collaborating with program engineers, you will diagnose root causes, run vehicle builds, document test preparations, and help with safety and lab procedures in the Energy Management and Development Lab.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electronics or vehicle electronics.
• Minimum two years of auto electrical diagnosis experience.
• Strong overall vehicle knowledge and electrical skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Initiative taking and strong work ethic.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Able to work with multiple levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify vehicles for crash and impact testing activities.
• Install, troubleshoot, and validate electrical and mechanical systems.
• Perform vehicle build-up and build-down electrical activities for development testing programs.
• Support post-impact vehicle inspections and failure analysis investigations.
• Assist engineers with root cause analysis of component and system failures.
• Support component testing activities within the EMD Lab.
• Maintain accurate documentation of test preparations.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, laboratory, and technical personnel to achieve program objectives.
• Follow all laboratory safety requirements and operating procedures.
