Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Creating Conditions for Impact Coordinator for the Charles A Dana Center at the Pickle Research Campus. This temporary three‑month role supports ongoing projects during a leadership transition and requires deep expertise in postsecondary education and workforce development.

The position emphasizes coordinating daily activities, engaging state and national partners, and documenting key decisions to ensure a smooth handoff to new staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Leadership, Public Policy, or a related field.
• 10+ years experience in postsecondary education with direct expertise in student support structures (corequisite support, developmental education redesign).
• Experience connecting postsecondary mathematics pathways or student support structures to workforce development efforts.
• Experience working with state-level agencies, systems offices, or other state-level partners on education policy or systems-change initiatives.
• Experience coordinating work across colleagues, including without a direct supervisor.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day execution of CCI's national initiatives to keep active projects on track during leadership transition.
• Support the Systems Engagement for Impact team, prioritizing tasks and maintaining momentum on deliverables.
• Serve as a day-to-day contact for CCI team members and communicate priorities from senior directors.
• Track project timelines, deliverables, reporting requirements, and flag risks for director-level attention.
• Provide subject-matter expertise in pathways and student support structures to inform systems-change work.
• Support initiatives linking mathematics pathways to workforce development and readiness efforts.
• Maintain continuity with state-level partners during leadership transition.
• Represent the Dana Center in meetings with state and national partners.
