Job summary

Family Bridges, Inc. is seeking a Program Manager for Housing & Community Services to lead day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality, culturally responsive services.

Reporting to the Sr. Program Director, you will manage budgets, grants, and reporting, build community partnerships, and drive program improvements across assigned programs. This is a full-time exempt role in Oakland, CA with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; master’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible program-management experience, including at least two (2) years supervising staff.
• Experience managing program operations, budgets, grants, contracts, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, reporting, and partnerships.
• Strong supervisory, communication, organizational, financial-management, decision-making, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with culturally diverse populations; bilingual/multilingual skills preferred.
• Valid California driver’s license and background clearances as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of assigned programs, staff, schedules, and work plans.
• Implement goals, policies, procedures, service standards, and performance measures.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, grants, contracts, licensing, accreditation, funder requirements, and policies.
• Recruit, onboard, supervise, coach, develop, and evaluate staff while fostering accountability and growth.
• Monitor budgets, expenditures, staffing, contracts, and outcomes with leadership and Finance.
• Maintain program records, data, and reports; identify trends, risks, gaps, and improvements.
• Support quality improvement, evaluation, and corrective-action planning.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with participants, families, funders, agencies, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate outreach, referrals, meetings, training, events, and cross-department activities.
• Respond to issues; escalate significant matters per procedures.
• Prepare reports and updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Represent Family Bridges at community meetings and coalitions.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
