Job summary

Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is seeking a Program Associate in the Strategy & Impact department to support grants administration, data entry, and stakeholder engagement. The role involves coordinating with grantees, maintaining records in the grants database, and preparing materials for senior staff.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 1–2 years of nonprofit or grants-related experience, with a hybrid work schedule and some local travel in the Greater

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of administrative, program, grants, philanthropy, or nonprofit experience preferred; internships or comparable experience considered.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow processes, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and ability to summarize information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with grant management software is preferred.
• Interest in the Jewish community, nonprofit organizations, and Greater Philadelphia region preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative support for active grants, maintain grant files, prepare routine correspondence and reports.
• Screen potential grantees, schedule meetings, compile docket materials, and assist with monitoring grants.
• Review impact reports for completeness, summarize key information, and draft materials for leadership.
• Maintain compliance with grantmaking policies, procedures, and deadlines.
• Support research and information sharing across departments; track research and trends.
