Job summary

The Peter Kiewit Foundation in Omaha, NE seeks a Grants Manager to oversee the foundation’s grants management function, supported by a 0.5 FTE grants assistant. You will design and implement grants workflows, manage applications, LOIs, and reporting, and collaborate with staff, grantees, and Trustees.

This role emphasizes customer service, data integrity, and continuous process improvement, with a focus on best practices in grants management and the use of Blackbaud Grantmaking and First Akoya

Qualifications

• Experience applying best practices in grants management.
• Ability to read, interpret, and draw conclusions from grants data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with grant management software and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage the foundation’s grants systems and reports.
• Design and improve grants management policies, practices, and systems.
• Coordinate grant workflows from application to reporting and awards.
• Provide analysis and reports to the foundation team and Trustees.
• Mentor staff and promote best practices across the team.
