Job summary

Mary’s Place is seeking a Financial Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis essential to our mission. You’ll collaborate with the Controller and CFO to manage the annual budget, develop models, and translate data into actionable insights for leadership.

The role emphasizes non-profit finance, grant accounting, GAAP compliance, and in-office hybrid work at the Hub in Seattle. Salary ranges reflect DOE expectations.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or accounting.
• Non-profit finance experience including fund and grant budgeting & compliance.
• Understanding of GAAP and grant/regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting software across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting and planning processes, consolidating budgets.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual analyses and variance explanations.
• Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts.
• Analyze grant budgets and spending across grants.
• Prepare financial reporting materials for grants.
• Build dashboards and data visualizations for leadership.
• Assist with audit readiness and supporting schedules.
• Maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with program and development staff on grants accounting.
