Job summary

Inter-American Development Bank seeks a Development Effectiveness and Impact Evaluation Consultant to enhance project design, monitor results, and lead evaluation activities in Washington DC. You will collaborate with SPD/SDV to advance development effectiveness across Latin America and the Caribbean and contribute to reporting and policy guidance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Economics or related field; Doctoral degree highly preferable.
• At least five years of relevant professional and academic experience in program evaluation and development economics.
• Fluency in English and another Bank official language (Spanish, French or Portuguese) required.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and implementation of loans for development projects, including theory of change, economic analysis, indicators to monitor effectiveness, and design of impact evaluations.
• Carry out quality reviews of Project Completion Reports and apply PCR Guidelines.
• Support delivery of SPD/SDV products and services that strengthen development effectiveness of the Bank.
• Improve communication of corporate results and knowledge products internally and externally.
• Coordinate and participate in design, implementation, analysis and reporting of impact evaluations related to IDB projects; design questionnaires, sampling, train enumerators, coordinate with data collection firms, and perform econometric analysis.
