Job summary

UNICEF's Evaluation Office in New York seeks a Mixed-methods Impact Evaluation Consultant to advance rigorous assessments on adolescent girls, violence against children, and social norms. The 12-month consultancy is Remote, with travel to project locations worldwide, supporting the ICF thematic windows and Power4Girls initiatives.

The role requires an advanced degree and 5+ years of experience in impact evaluations, strong data skills (Stata/R, NVivo/ATLAS.ti), and the ability to coordinate

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree (Masters or above) in economics, public health, public policy, political science, evaluation, development studies or sociology.
• Over 5 years of professional experience leading or contributing to rigorous impact evaluations.
• Experience collecting primary data (quantitative and/or qualitative) on violence against children topics, including ethics and safeguarding requirements.
• Proficiency in using statistical analysis software packages, including Stata/R and Nvivo/ATLAS.ti.
• English required; French, Spanish or Arabic is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the ICF thematic windows on child marriage and social norms, violence in schools and demand driven portfolio under Power4Girls.
• Undertake activities central to scoping, development and accompaniment of broader impact evaluation opportunities with adolescent girls, violence and child protection lens.
• Coordinate and collaborate across time zones (Rome, Nairobi, Beirut, Kolkata) as required.
