Job summary

NYC School Construction Authority seeks an Engineer - A to coordinate in-house design projects for NYC public schools. You will prepare scopes, pre-schematic and construction documents, and work with engineers, architects, and consultants to ensure quality delivery.

The role requires licensure as a Professional Engineer in NYS and experience in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or structural work, with responsibilities including design reviews and site observations. EEO commitment applies.

Qualifications

• CPD required or professional engineer licensure in NYS.
• Experience with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or structural systems preferred.
• Understanding of design and construction processes for public schools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate in-house design projects across disciplines.
• Prepare scopes, schematic and construction documents and reports.
• Review contractor submittals and field reports.
• Support site observations and design reviews for CIP and Line Projects.
