Job summary

NYC School Construction Authority (SCA) seeks an Engineering Intern for an 18-month, full-time temporary position in New York. You will learn and apply engineering principles within the Authority’s Architecture & Engineering Department, supporting design and construction document development for NYC public schools.

You will perform drafting, design and simple calculations, with site or field observations under direct supervision. A satisfactory education and experience mix is required.

Qualifications

• Engineering bachelor’s degree required.
• Fundamental engineering knowledge applicable to public school projects.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles while learning Authority practices.
• Perform drafting, design, detailing and simple calculations.
• Make site or field observations under direct supervision.
• Carry out related tasks as assigned.
