Job summary

University of Southern Maine is hiring a Coordinator of Student Engagement and Belonging to develop and implement programs supporting the social, educational, recreational, and wellness needs of students with a focus on inclusion. The role includes facilitating co-curricular opportunities and working with the Student Affairs division to foster a safe, inclusive living-learning environment for all students.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and at least one year of relevant experience including program development.
Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of best practices in student engagement and fostering an inclusive and supportive environment within higher education.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement programs addressing the social, educational, recreational, and wellness needs of students with a focus on inclusion and belonging.
Assist in facilitating co-curricular opportunities for students, including campus engagement events, leadership and developmental activities, conferences, etc.
Collaborate with the Student Affairs division to foster a safe, inclusive living and learning environment for all students, including those from underrepresented backgrounds.
