Job summary

The University of Southern Maine is seeking a Coordinator of Student Engagement and Belonging to develop and implement programs that address the social, educational, recreational, and wellness needs of students with a focus on inclusion and belonging.

The role collaborates with the Student Affairs division to create a living and learning environment that is safe and welcoming for all students, including those from underrepresented backgrounds, and supports campus engagement events, leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least one year of relevant experience including program development.
• Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of best practices in student engagement and fostering an inclusive and supportive environment within higher education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement programs addressing social, educational, recreational, and wellness needs with a focus on inclusion.
• Facilitate co-curricular opportunities including campus engagement events, leadership and developmental activities, conferences, etc.
• Collaborate with the Student Affairs division to foster a living and learning environment that is safe and inclusive for all students, including students from underrepresented backgrounds.
