Job summary

Montgomery Public Schools is seeking a CNP Manager to lead the district's school nutrition program, ensuring meals meet federal, state, and district standards while supervising daily service.

You will plan menus, train staff, maintain production and inventory records, monitor food quality and safety, and ensure sanitation compliance. ServSafe certification must be obtained within the first year.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED, with food service management experience preferred.
• Aptitude for successful performance of the duties listed in the position description.
• ServSafe certification required within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the school food service program in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations, local and state health ordinances, and school district policies.
• Assume responsibility for the preparation and supervision of meal service in accordance with required standards of nutrition.
• Instruct workers and coordinate work to promote efficiency of operations.
• Plan and/or follow menus to utilize foods efficiently.
• Direct and observe methods of food preparation, cooking and portions to ensure prescribed standards.
• Maintain daily production, inventory, and meal count records for audits; computer skills and POS experience preferred.
• Train new school food service employees.
• Maintain sanitation knowledge following State Board of Health regulations.
• Monitor serving line during meal service to assure food quality, temperature, serving size, appearance, and safety; ServSafe certification required within the first year.
