Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to meet suitability criteria under state regulations.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Familiar with Child Nutrition Program guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food according to the daily menu and supervisor instruction.
• Perform storage, inventory, cleaning, and sanitation tasks as assigned.
• Operate food service equipment per procedures.
• Rotate through CNP activities including cashier, server, backup, and dishwashing.
• Maintain professional dress and hygiene appropriate for food service.
• Observe kitchen safety and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with staff to uphold high CNP standards.
• Follow instructions and communicate effectively with CNP staff, vendors, and students.
• Participate in training and continuing education programs.
• Demonstrate initiative and professionalism in responsibilities.
