Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking a CNS Manager to oversee the School Nutrition Program at the CNS site. You will supervise staff, manage food production, oversee cash handling, and ensure compliance with nutrition and safety standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of nutrition laws, proficiency in MS Office and Google Apps, and the ability to plan and coordinate large-volume meals with accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of food service/management experience.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manages the School Nutrition Program in compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Implements and adheres to employee handbook and nutrition personnel standards.
• Completes and retains records for breakfast, lunch, snack production, cash sheets, inventories, purchasing, and time sheets.
• Maintains food cost control through planning, forecasting, ordering and receiving.
• Supervises CNS employees and conducts staff training and evaluations.
• Prepares daily work and cleaning schedules for CNS staff.
• Maintains food safety and sanitation, including temperature records and storage areas.
• Reports accidents and monitors staff health to protect public health.
• Follows internal fiscal controls and cash handling procedures.
• Promotes healthy school nutrition and public relations.
