Job summary

Landmark Properties seeks a Community Manager to lead site teams at our Knoxville asset, driving occupancy, budget adherence, and NOI growth.

You will manage leasing, maintenance, and resident services, ensuring exceptional service, compliance with Fair Housing laws, and strong financial reporting. This role requires leadership, organization, and a hands-on approach to daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in property management (preferably student housing).
• Locally mandated licenses/certifications preferred and in some cases required.

Responsibilities

• Develop guidance and cooperate with team by setting expectations and monitoring performance.
• Identify development needs and coach or mentor team members.
• Manage performance concerns and HR issues; handle disciplinary actions.
• Hold daily staff meetings and weekly 1:1s.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and promote employees.
• Prepare annual staff performance reviews.
• Delegate tasks when vacancies or leave occur.
• Analyze financial reports to forecast decisions and manage budgets.
• Prepare month-end reporting package per Asset Management calendar.
• Ensure budget conformance and seek efficiency to increase NOI.
• Maintain relationships with university and market partners.
• Lead site maintenance planning and contractor management.
• Ensure excellent customer service and resident communications.
