Job summary

employU is seeking a Project Search coordinator to support interns with disabilities, guiding placement and employment planning. You will lead recruitment interactions, coordinate orientations, and ensure smooth onboarding for interns from diverse backgrounds.

The role requires collaboration with families, host employers, and Vocational Rehabilitation partners, offering opportunities for growth and a stable, community-focused career path.

Qualifications

• BA degree required in Behavioral or Social Science, Human Services, Business Administration, Psychology, or Sociology.
• Four years of experience in job placement, job coaching, or related vocational rehabilitation with persons with disabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Adobe and web-based databases; CRM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review potential Project Search candidates with the committee and conduct interviews.
• Coordinate hospital tours for interns, parents, and teachers to showcase the program.
• Organize annual student/parent orientation and graduation sessions with stakeholders.
• Lead internship planning meetings and develop vocational profiles and career plans.
• Develop internship sites and write job descriptions; liaise with employers to create meaningful matches.
