Specialized Education Services, Inc. is seeking an occupational therapist to provide school-based OT services under IEP/ISP guidelines.

The role involves evaluating and intervening to improve fine motor skills and functional goals, with collaboration across teachers, parents, and support staff. The position requires NBCOT and/or state certification, a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Occupational Therapy, and strong organizational and communication abilities to support students’ educational success.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy and NBCOT certification and/or state certification as specified in the contract.
• Ability to work independently, be motivated and well-organized.
• Good communication skills with adults and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy intervention for students using exercises and equipment to support fine motor coordination per IEP/ISP goals.
• Monitor student progress and test/evaluate students when requested to determine need for OT services.
• Consult with teachers to align OT plans with educational goals and classroom integration.
• Communicate with parents regularly to share progress and home activity suggestions.
• Create solutions to challenges for individual students based on research and professional judgment.
• Make referrals to community resources when needed and complete required paperwork promptly.
• Other duties may be assigned.
