Job summary

Common App is seeking an Enterprise Risk & Compliance Manager to bolster our enterprise compliance program within the Legal team. You will coordinate policy, deadlines, and case prep for fraud and whistleblower initiatives while collaborating with leadership to strengthen governance and reduce risk.

The role requires 4–6 years in compliance or risk management, a US-resident with strong communication and reporting skills, and the ability to travel for twice-yearly retreats.

Qualifications

• Residency in the United States is required.
• Willingness to travel to attend twice annual Common App Retreat.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Risk Management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4-6 years of progressive experience in compliance, risk management, or legal operations.
• Strong investigations, compliance, and administrative procedures knowledge.
• Strong business and legal acumen with ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong administrative experience including intake, email review, data entry, task tracking.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of work within a collaborative environment.
• Superior written and verbal communication; ability to summarize complex issues clearly.
• Experience with case management, due diligence, and communication.
• Ability to prepare reports, presentations, and briefings for leadership.
• Excellent organization and time management with attention to detail.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to think independently.
• Discretion, judgment, and commitment to confidentiality.
• Ability to interpret meaningful financial data and present concisely.

Responsibilities

• Provide broad support to the organization’s enterprise compliance program and coordinate with Legal and leadership.
• Oversee policy management, regulatory deadline tracking, and case preparation for fraud and whistleblower programs.
• Act as a key liaison for internal legal and compliance inquiries across departments.
• Strengthen governance and reduce risk through cross-functional collaboration.
