Job summary

House of Possibilities seeks a Chief Operating Officer to provide executive leadership over all programs and services at its Easton, MA site. The role ensures person-centered, compliant service delivery, operational standards, and continuous quality improvement in collaboration with the CEO and program leadership.

The COO will drive strategic alignment, program development, and performance metrics while safeguarding budgets and regulatory obligations within Massachusetts DDS guidelines.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of professional experience in an operational role in human services or similar nonprofit environment.
• 5+ years of experience leading and managing teams.
• Familiarity with Massachusetts DDS regulations and supports for IDD/ASD populations.
• Proven track record managing an organization with a budget of at least $5 million.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/MPA or related advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight and direction for all HOPe programs and services, ensuring consistent, effective, person-centered delivery.
• Establish and maintain program standards, policies, and best practices across all locations.
• Support program directors in addressing operational challenges and maintaining high performance.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Ensure program staffing models and service coverage align with leadership and HR.
• Oversee financial stewardship for program budgets and resources.
• Ensure DDS regulatory compliance and readiness for surveys and audits.
