Job summary

OKEECHOBEE COUNTY is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Capital Improvement Projects Department from planning through completion. You will work closely with the CIP Director to manage design, construction, budgets, timelines, and compliance for stormwater and infrastructure projects.

The role requires strong organization, communication and drafting of project records, with coordination across departments, vendors and the public.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of secretarial and administrative experience.
• Experience with stormwater/drainage projects preferred.
• Experience working with the public preferred.
• Construction background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate information and requirements for permit processes and submittals.
• Schedule, coordinate, and attend meetings with departments, contractors and applicants.
• Provide updates to stakeholders and funding agencies on project progress.
• Assist in managing project budgets, resources, funding requirements and timelines.
• Track project and grant progress and prepare status reports.
• Ensure grant-funded projects comply with federal, state and local requirements.
